Elon Musk's X TV App: Challenging YouTube – What to Expect

Elon Musk has announced his venture into the TV space with the launch of X TV, a new streaming platform. The news came through a teaser video on social media, but the official launch dates are yet to be revealed. With X TV, users can expect top-notch content and entertainment on their big screens.

According to Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, the company is poised to revolutionize viewing experiences, bridging the gap between small and big screens. The X TV App promises real-time, engaging content directly on smart TVs. Yaccarino also encouraged users to share their suggestions for improving the app's usability.

So, what exactly is the X TV App?

It's a platform that promises high-quality entertainment on large screens, offering seamless viewing across different devices. Users can even cast content from their smartphones onto their TVs, putting X TV in direct competition with giants like YouTube.

What features does the X TV App offer?

Currently, users can upload videos up to 140 seconds long. However, Premium users have the privilege of uploading longer videos—up to two hours in 1080p resolution or three hours in 720p resolution—through the platform's web browser or X's iOS app.

The platform's popularity is evident from the staggering 23 billion minutes of video watched by users in just the past 30 days. X has also struck significant collaborations to enrich its content library. Although a deal to produce an exclusive show with former CNN presenter Don Lemon fell through after an interview with Musk, the platform continues to expand its offerings.
