Elvish Yadav Admits to Organizing Snake Venom at Rave Parties:

Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, who initially denied any involvement in the snake venom case, has now admitted to arranging snake venom at parties.

Noida Police arrested Elvish Yadav on Sunday in connection with an investigation into the use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party. According to a report by NDTV, he confessed to organizing snake venom at rave parties he hosted. The report also mentioned that Yadav acknowledged knowing the others arrested last year for supplying snake venom.

The individuals arrested, namely Rahul (32), Teetunath (45), Jaikaran (50), Narayan (50), and Ravinath (45), are residents of Moharband village in southeast Delhi’s Badarpur.

Snake Venom Case Background Elvish Yadav, a YouTuber, and singer from Gurugram, gained fame after winning the Big Boss OTT 2 reality show hosted by Salman Khan in 2023.

He has been placed in 14-day judicial custody and was brought in for questioning at Sector 20 police station on Sunday, as officials familiar with the situation stated. Additionally, he faces accusations of using snakes in his video shoots. “We have found substantial evidence against Elvish Yadav,” stated the Noida Police.

On November 3 last year, Elvish and five others were booked under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code for allegedly providing snake venom at a party in Noida’s Sector 51. This occurred after animal welfare activist Gaurav Gupta, associated with NGO People For Animals, approached Sector 49 police station.

Controversies Involving Elvish Yadav

  • Snake Venom Controversy: Elvish Yadav and five others were booked for allegedly supplying snake venom for recreational use at a party in Delhi-NCR. This followed a complaint filed by an animal welfare NGO run by former union minister Maneka Gandhi. The complaint alleged that Yadav and others were involved in organizing a rave party and procuring Cobra venom, leading to their arrest by Noida police. At the time, Yadav dismissed the allegations as “absolutely baseless and fake.”
  • An altercation with ‘Maxtern': Gurugram Police issued a notice to YouTuber Elvish Yadav regarding a case involving Delhi-based content creator Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern. Thakur claimed that he was assaulted by Yadav at a shopping mall in Gurugram’s Sector 53. A video capturing the incident went viral on social media.

Following the incident, a subsequent video featuring Elvish Yadav and Thakur together was shared on their social media, where they claimed to have resolved their conflict and moved forward.

Family's Reaction

Elvish Yadav's mother, Sushma Yadav, was seen in a video crying, which has garnered attention on social media. Elvish's father, Ram Avtar Yadav, also broke down on national television, speaking about his son in an interview with ABP News. The parents called their son innocent and appealed to People For Animals (PFA) chairperson and BJP leader Maneka Gandhi for leniency.

In response to the emotional video of Elvish's mother, Aly Goni tweeted, “After seeing Elvish’s mother cry in a video, my heart is broken… I hope she meets her son ASAP, and I hope he stays out of all these controversies in the future.”

The Indian Express reported that Elvish allegedly supplied snake venom not just for money but also to ‘boost his fan base' and display ‘swag.' A Noida Police officer mentioned, “During questioning, Yadav did not accept the crime… but we have a lot of evidence. For him, it was to make a statement that he’s got ‘swag’… He wanted to paint a picture among his fans as someone who is completely unafraid of law-enforcement agencies and can do whatever he wishes.”

The police have uncovered evidence of snake venom use at more than six parties associated with Elvish. They are now identifying attendees of these parties for appropriate action regarding the use of snake venom.
