These forthcoming assembly elections are poised to involve more than 161 million eligible voters across five states throughout India. The Election Commission of India had previously unveiled the election dates, with Mizoram residents gearing up to cast their votes on the 7th of November. In Chhattisgarh, a state boasting a 90-member assembly, the elections will unfold in two phases, on the 7th and 17th of November, allowing citizens to participate in shaping their political landscape.
Madhya Pradesh and Telangana, two key states in the electoral landscape, will head to the polls on the 17th and 30th of November, respectively. Rajasthan, initially slated for elections on November 23rd, has now rescheduled the polling date to November 25th, ensuring that its residents have the opportunity to make their voices heard. The culmination of this electoral journey will occur when the votes are counted on December 3.
